1. Before this course, how familiar were you with meeting design or facilitation?
In the first half of 2025, I attended Eric’s meeting design workshop. That was the first time I had come across the term meeting design. As for facilitation, I have led or participated in at least 100 workshops on the circular economy.
2. What made you sign up?
I was looking for a way to systematically connect the knowledge and experience I had gained over time.
3. Three words for the experience?
Warm. Connecting. Inspiring.
4. Biggest aha moment?
There were quite a few, actually, so it is hard to list them all.
5. Top 3 takeaways?
1. Creating meaningful gatherings
2. The importance of defining the purpose and objectives
3. Becoming more empathetic!
6. What made the learning effective?
Practice.
7. What do you do differently now?
Clarifying the purpose is the most important thing.
Thinking carefully about what the concrete outcomes should be is also crucial.
8. Who should take this course and why?
Anyone whose work involves communicating with people.
9. Anything else to add?
The course may be challenging even for those with a passion for learning and those who learn quickly. I would like to see a mechanism built to continue the learning journey, perhaps from community to broader impact.
